First Fish
My husband and I
took our kids out
fishing for the first time,
video camera in hand,
I waited.
"I got a fish!"
yells out our son,
I wasn't able to
get it on tape,
he was reeling
in the line.
I set the camera
on the ground,
went over and helped our
little boy
bring in his first fish.
He was so excited,
I helped him
reel the fish in
the rest of the way,
he caught a
4 inch perch,
he wanted to keep it.
My husband came over
and took the fish
off the hook,
we put it back
in the water.
This was one of the
happiest days,
in our little boy's life.
