The Good ShepherdJohn 10:11-16 The good shepherd lays down his life, For the sheep during danger and strife; A hired hand rather than a shepherd, Can be quite the sniffling little coward; They are not his own that he oversees, When the wolf comes, he merely flees; He flees for the is cares nothing for them, For wages paid, it isn't worth the mayhem; Then the wolf snatches one of the sheep, As the rest scatter the one he will keep; Jesus is our good shepherd watching us, Bring contentment while finding solace; He keeps things calm when it looks grim, He knows His own and His own know him; As the Heavenly Father knows His Son, Christ knows the Father one-on-one; Other sheep that are not part of this fold, Must be brought and do as they are told; As Jesus is the shepherd hearing His voice, Obeying as a flock of one as they rejoice.
