Little David's Prayer (Story) #85

Little David is a boy
who has Great Big dreams...
and when he prays at night,
the prayers he wants he screams,
“God bless my neighbors,
our dog, and my Mom and Dad,
and thanks for the watermelon,
it's the best ever had....
AND GIVE ME A BICYCLE!!!!”
(The One That's Color Red)
...then he closes his eyes
and falls fast asleep in bed.

Now, Mom and Dad they asked,
“Why is it you must yell...
Don't you know that God has ears
and His ear drums will swell?”

But ever since David's reply,
Mom and Dad they ask no more...
For little David answered,
“My prayers are not to God,
but to Grandma who's next door!”
