Signals for Repentance

I look back on my life on what has been,
Asking myself if I would do it all again;
Would my life be completely the same?
Would it be exactly from whence I came?
I know there were some unpleasant times,
Some would even refer to them as crimes;
There were some other events in my life,
That caused me the heartaches and strife;
Some of it that I would just rather forget,
Times that were really making me sweat;
Still other times were precious and tender,
Those were when filled with such splendor;
Then I think that all of it was experience,
God's way with teaching me obedience;
With it all written into His plan for me,
He taught lessons on how it should be;
For those times with wrongs to declare,
He has allowed suffering and despair;
That's mainly a signal that He has sent,
For me to talk to Him in prayer and repent.
