I sit and ponder in my mind,
The how and why
Of God's “mankind”.
I query and I wonder why
God gave man free will to lie.
They beat upon their families;
They turn on their own kind;
And there's never any reason;
It weighs heavy on my mind.
And after all, we're human
But the questions still remain
If God gave mankind free will
To choose;
Why then do we choose pain?
