I Know You and You'll Know Me #111

If I shut up heaven so there is no rain,
Or I send the locust to consume the plains,
Let not your pestilence ever bring you pain ...
For you are my child and I know you --
... and you'll know me by name.

If you'll humble yourself so that you may pray,
Seek my holy face, turn from your wicked ways,
Let not your wrong doing shorten any days ...
For you are my child and I know you --
... and you'll know me by name.

If I heard from heaven and your sin forgave,
Be assured that my will is still Jesus saves,
Let you not forget you're not alone be brave  ...
For you are my child and I know you --
... and you'll know me by name.
