LITTLE WORDS

I WISHED THEM IN MY HEART
I PLAYED THEM THROUGH MY MIND
I DARED NOT MAKE THEM OBVIOUS
I KNEW YOUR HEART WAS BLIND
I KEPT THEM TO MYSELF
AS LONG AS MY HEART COULD
AND THEN IN LOST CONFUSION
I SPILLED THOSE LITTLE WORDS
THREE LITTLE WORDS
SLIPPED FROM MY LIPS
BEFORE I EVEN KNEW
THREE LITTLE WORDS
THAT MEANT SO MUCH
WHEN I SAID, “I LOVE YOU”
