The Black & White Poet

What's another way to say ‘I miss you'?

I'll take a smile now,
Then throw myself in the dirt.
I'll kiss him, hug him,
Then can't wash off the hurt.

A spoon full of sugar,
Ignoring the result…
But when I'm back to solitude,
I pay for my “fault”.

Why is the cost for love,
Enormous each time.
A second to laugh-
Cost an hour to cry.

Everything seemingly
Pulling my plans apart…
Nobody caring at all,
About the pain in the heart.

Thoughts uncharmed.
Broken roads and legs.
Bankrupt arms,
Every day.
