MotherAs I stand here by this open door My mind is crowded by thoughts of you once more I think of all the things you have done The wonderful stories you told us Of when you were young As I gaze at the sky of blue I cannot help but think of you The grass is green and the flowers are in bloom And behind me stands an empty room I cannot help feeling sad and blue As I now there will never be another quite like you The memories I have of you are buried deep within my heart, I will always think of you at the start of each new day So it will be like you never went away And when the daylight disappears And the stars begin to shine I will always know the brightest star in the sky Is you passing by By Julia Vote for this poem
