As I was walking to work today,
A funny thing happened on the way,
The wind got up and started to blow,
Trees all fell down one by one in a row.
The cows were swirling about in a field,
And a car flew past ever so fast,
A man in a cap in front blew away,
Whilst branches broke off trees as they lay.
Yet all this time I stood very still,
For the wind it had passed me and gone up the hill,
I saw brollies and hats blowing around,
And a dog on a roof that was barking so loud.
Yes a funny thing happened to me today,
Though nothing had touched me it’s fair to say,
But I started to laugh then I started to cry,
For the thought of the man who had learned how to fly.
