Down went the beer he swaggered about,

As he stumbled about getting up from the floor,
You got a light as he bashed me about,
So I struck him a match but it just went out.
Of to the bar with his glass in his hand,
Falling and tripping over the band,
Grabbing at chairs slobbering his words,
You would not believe that day we all heard.
Here I can sing lets have a go,
With mike held high and a big cheeky grin
That drunken old man started to sing,
We all had a laugh making a din.
Wow what a sound that came from his throat,
Such a great voice it made us all choke,
The man was a singer of that there’s no doubt,
Believe me the old codger could not hold his stout.
So now we all go to the pub Friday night,
To see the old man who first gave us a fright,
To the sound of the music this voice of the man,
We all sit and listen with beers in our hand.
Here’s to the old codger the man they named sticks,
You’d better believe it we love him to bits,
Our night’s attraction a star in the band,
