Can you remember when we were young?
You visited me we had some fun,
Parents all round Nan’s bungalow,
We talk the chance boy we let go.
Climbed out the windows,
Flew through the doors,
Buckets of water thrown galore.
We soaked all the walls even the floor.
In panic through strife the towels all came out,
Scrubbing and drying still playing about,
Walls where still wet so hear dryer came too,
Good job it did for it rescued us few.
Yes I remember how close the call came,
As soon as we finished Mum called out my name,
Not knowing that we had the house waterlogged out,
Few what a good job the old place dried out.
Yes I remember those good old days,
Now I watch my boys doing the same,
Though older and wiser I watch for their tricks,
In them I see me and I love them to bits.
