Doesnt Anybody Fall In Love?

I see a lonely woman
Her face is aged with time
And I know that someday
Her face will then be mine

Her hands are sore and tired
And she really needs to rest
And no one ever truly sees
That she has given life her best

People pass her on the street
And they simply walk on by
They do not notice her fallen tears
Or the sadness in her eyes....

Not far from her stands a man
Dressed in his Sunday best
Holding nothing but a photograph
Clenching it to his chest

His strong hands seem so shaken
As he thinks back to his youth
Of all the love he had and lost
And now he longs for truth

I see a businessman now
His suitcase by his side
He looks lost in this one horse town
I wonder if he too has softly cried

Meetings and trips are all he knows
It has all come down to push and shove
And as I sit here watching them all
I wonder doesnt anybody fall in love?
