A Birthday Wish

I close my eyes so tightly
And my heart whispers a wish
I pray this day is a happy one
And I send it with a kiss

I can not bestow a gift today
So I'm trying something new
I write for you this birthday poem
And speak of my love so true

You cant wrap it in a ribbon
And there's no fancy tag
You can not fit it in a box
And there's no special birthday bag

I just hope my gift's your favorite
I make a wish and send it to you
A little package called my heart
With the inscription "I Love You"
