Solar System…
A fella came to the bistro,
And asked did we wana rhyme,
He only charged a small fee…
Well hell, I do them all the time!
Rhymes? I do em every day!
I don't charge anyone a fee,
So I said to Martin…gimme a phrase,
And he said ‘the solar system it must be!'
Hmmm, solar system, yep,
I think that's all about the sun?
But blimey Maritn, it's borin'!
That sure aint anythin' fun!
The sun shines on the righteous,
Well, I think I've heard it said!
I'm tryin' to think of what to say,
And it's wreckin' me flippin' head!
The solar is the sunshine,
And I think that's energy too?
Aint that to do with solar calculators!
They only work when the sun shines through!
Then we've got the stars and moon,
But am not really too sure…
If that's the solar system too!
Blimey Maritn, this is a bore!
I'm trying to think about it,
But me heads gone totally west…
The solar, blimey, what do I say?
Cos me brain's feein' far from it's best!
Solar system…oh dear me,
On Martin what have you done!
You asked me about summat I don't understand,
And it really aint no fun!
Anyway, where was I?
Oh, yes of course the sun…
And the moon and stars, I think?
Well, this is it, the end product is done!
The solar system is a subject…
That's not the usual topic of chat…
So I said I'd rise to Martin's challenge…
And knock him down, just like that!
