Thumping away to a tune on my mind, And the new journey I'm about to start… Softly tapping like the wings of a dove, Against the breeze of time, Happiness once more I hope, Will call to me and once more be mine. For like the rhythm of the falling rain, My heart is beating out of tune… And as I raise my eyes Heavenly…! I hope for love and peace to arrive soon. The rain that was once falling gently down, Is now beating like a harsh drum, Lashing around, and all that I've found, Is heartache, oh what have I done? I let love in, I opened my heart, And happiness was all I could see, Cocooned in a life of bliss and love… But oh, look at what love has done to me… It's broken my heart in two, And like the rhythm of the falling rain, It fluctuates and just won't settle down, Will peace ever descend in my life once again?
