This poem is for you;my brother... Rick,
Who has always been a tower of strength.
Through the years we didn't see eye to eye,
Now that I'm older...I've come to realize.
My analogy of you in earlier years,
Was you acted like a tough guy and I found
It difficult to communicate.
However;as the years have passed by,
My now mature opinion is you're
really a great guy.
So..back in the days that you aggrevated me,
You weren't really a bully,you were just
looking out for your little sister.
You've really mellowed out since way back when,
Not only do I love you as a brother,I also
respect you as a true friend.
Our visits are few for you're an over the
road driver,
I just want you to know when I get to see you now,
It is always a pleasure to talk and reminisce...
So I'll close this poem with a birthday wish,
along with a hug and a kiss.
