A Day in Your LifeRemember Who Makes a Day Great! Some things in life we take for granted, Not even thinking how we are gifted; The sun shall rise about seven or eight, The alarm clock will not make us late; Kiss the wife then eat your breakfast, Talk to the kids how school for the eldest; Starting up the car turns over right away, Able to leave the house without delay; Travel time is good because light traffic, Say Hi to the secretary who looks terrific; Pleasant chat with a client seem very nice, Was not upset with the total of the price; Quitting time already time sure does fly, Time to tell you co-workers good-bye; Now that you are home, you can relax, Sit in my easy chair with some snacks; Some time to watch CNN tonight on TV, It's sleepy time since finished the movie; Forgetting anyone before the day's end? Thanking God of course your great friend. Richard Newton Sherrer Copyright ©2004 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
