Artists sky

Like the blood that drips from my wrists
Scattered across the canvas sky
And the sunken black eyes
Are like the two birds returning to spring
Green envy burns so bright
And Silhouettes the ground at night
Fingers knarred and dry skin
Give life to the darkened forests within
Tears that stream down my face
Create a sea of stars up in space
Boiling point of emotions
Paint a blazing sunset
Scabs from old wounds
Form mountain ranges of jagged peaks
And hope
Forms the beginning of dawn
That split second of peace
Spills a rainbow of magical colours
But no gold lies at the end
Just me
