John Inglesby...John Inglesby My Uncle His Belief! He told us before he passed over, We were not to weep or cry, For he was only in the room next door, And his soul will never die. ‘So do not be sad or sorrowful,' ‘I do not want you all to cry,' ‘For always remember I am with you,' ‘Be happy for me, for I didn't die!' He will be in the ‘waiting room,' And when the time arrives, We will all be together again, For all our souls will arise. For we are not dead, I believe this, And what he said to us that day, Is comforting to know… That he didn't really go away. He was a very wise man my uncle John, So special, so honest and true, If anyone needed help in any way, There was nothing he wouldn't do! So for my uncle who was so strong! I don't weep for you… For one day we will meet again, For all you say, is true. Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
