Long WalkAs the weeks quickly pass by I begin my long walk home, Although the journey toward home Is no great distance And my feet seem to weather the journey With relative ease Each step is guided by thoughts of you, As I pass other travelers along the way I am always greeted with a smile I think of you, As I glance at the flowers Growing in each garden I think of you, As the great roars from the road Pass me by I think of you, Each day is a new journey Your spirit and memory fill my heart everyday But most of all I feel your spirit lift my feet As I begin my long walk By Julia Vote for this poem
