Poems of Lighthouse Bob
Glimmers of Hope (Candlelight Vigil for Victoms of 911) #137
Gentle moonlight softly glistening Leaving traces on the floors ... Distant faces, silent listening, Wandering through the corridors. Rain is falling, victims calling, Reaching out with photographs ... No one questions, no one answers, No one knows, and no one laughs. Rescue workers, hidden lurkers No where to be found within ... Country aching, hearts are breaking, No one knows where to begin. Prayers are sent up toward Heaven Hoping to find some relief ... They are heard twenty-four seven From a country filled with grief. Candles burning, children learning All about the death of men ... In the union of our nation Might we seek to live again? In the moonlight silent reaching Pillars strong in faith they stand ... They are lifting Hopeful glimmers For a dry and thirsty land. -Lighthouse Bob |
