What happened to my heart..
What happened to my heart?
When you look into the mirror do you smile?
Is there something that still shines out from your heart…
Do your eyes still have that youthful sparkle.
Does your love still keep you warm at dead of night?
Do you sometimes gaze on all that God gave you?
Or do you miss the parts you do not wish to see…
Are there parts you think no longer very useful…?
Do you see any parts that still belong to me?
As I gaze into the mirror, I always smile
And remember the glow I felt in my heart.
My eyes still have their youthful sparkle,
Though my Soul is always very, very dark.
I often gaze on all that God gave me
And I’m grateful for every single part.
I just wish someone could tell me…
How I live… without a beating heart?
