The Kingdom of HeavenMatthew 13:44-50 Kingdom of Heaven like a hidden treasure, In a field a man finds it in sheer pleasure; Secluding it, he sells all that he now own, Buy the field for whatever price is known; Kingdom of God is as the merchant man, Seeking goodly pearls is part of his plan; When he found one pearl at a high price, Sold all of he had making such a sacrifice; Kingdom of Heaven as a net in the sea, Gather every kind of fish as you and me; When full, men draw it ashore and sit down, They sort the good into vessels as found; But the bad ones are then to be cast out, Because their value is filled with doubt; So then shall the time of the world to end, As angels are summoned by Jesus to send; They'll divide the righteous from the evil, Throwing them into the fire of the devil; There'll be wailing and gnashing of teeth, As their remains burn in the fire beneath.
