Thanking GodBringing Me Up when I'm Down If ever I would be feeling sad and blue, Let me tell you exactly what I would do; I would turn my thoughts over to God, Praising Him as I would start to applaud; I would thank Him for the air we breathe, Allowing us to hear our babies who teethe; I'd thank Him for the sun during the day, That brightens up where children play; I would thank Him for the falling rain, Nourishing the earth to grow the grain; I would thank Him for the moon at night, That is able to reflect some radiant light; I would thank Him for the waters flowing, And the purity white when it's snowing; I would thank Him of the nature's diversity, As well as our very own unique capability; I would thank Him for love and my wife, That is such a blessing within my life; Thanking Him for all that He has done, And allowing the sacrifice of His Son; Richard Newton Sherrer Copyright ©2004 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
