My Darling Mother

To my darling mother
Who passed away so suddenly,
I will never forget that early morning
When your heart stopped beating
As I held your hand tightly
And begged you to stay
I felt my heart break,
As my tears flowed
I could not hear you breathe,
I felt my heart go sad
I will never forget your strength and courage,
As I know my life is forever changed
I will never hear your laugh again
Your radiant smile will no longer glow except in my heart
You have left behind a lifetime of memories
Which I will forever carry in my heart
