To My Children

I am your mother,
at times I do
get angry with you,
but it doesn't mean
I don't love you anymore.

I feel guilty
for being angry with you,
I get angry with myself,
there are alot of parents
in this world,
that would abuse
their children and
sometimes murder them.

I love you kids
too much to see
any harm come to you,
I wouldn't even think about
doing something that evil.

Your father and I
are the only people
you have in your life now,
it seems like your
family on both sides
don't give a sh*t about you.

We are the only two people
you know you can count on,
we are always there for you
through the thick and thin,
through good times and bad,
we stand up for you
through your life's journey's.

I don't ever want
you kids to think
mom and dad don't
love you anymore.

We would go through
any lengths to protect you,
we know growing up
isn't easy for you,
but we just want
to teach you kids
right from wrong.

I just hope
you will understand why
your dad and myself
feel the way we do
about certain things.

Just don't forget,
we love you with
every fabric of our being.
