Loving Forgiveness

Ephesians 4:32

Be kind to each other and tenderhearted,
Not letting your compassion be departed;
Forgiving one another through eternity,
Just as God in Christ forgave you and me;
Forgiveness is actually the same as love,
For it is a type of compassion thereof;
Forgiving another is showing you care,
From a mistake that is causing despair;
You're willing and able to bury the hatchet,
Even if their behavior wasn't appropriate;
You can love another even if not deserving,
For the same reason why God is forgiving;
God loved us even when He had no reason,
That is why He sacrificed His only son;
He loved and cared so much for humanity,
Showing compassion in a different capacity;
Forgiveness is a miracle only God performs,
Canceling the sinful debt that transforms;
We live here today without fear or guilt,
A sacrificial lamb whose blood was spilt.
