What We’ve Lost
Where are the bedtime stories,
and where the lullabies?
When did we stop going over to Johnny’s house
to see if he’d come play outside?
Where are the fairytales, gremlins and princes,
and the frogs who turn into kings?
The once-upon-a-times and
happily-ever-afters –
when’d we lose these things?
