Now Doing It God's Way

I think a lot about the where and the why,
As well as all the days that has gone by;
My life hasn't been all peaches and cream,
But it hasn't been as tough as it may seem;
For on life's journey the way I knew best,
Maybe to some I've been sort of a pest;
It's that I don't think I did it my way,
More than likely of what God had to say;
Even though one thing I know in my life,
I use to have a lot more trials and strife;
I understand why there was so much grief,
Back then I didn't have as strong a belief;
God use to tell me what I needed to do,
But I just had a different point of view;
That explains a lot about getting caught,
God was telling others what I ought not;
Confessing to God, giving my life to Christ,
A better understanding what was sacrificed;
So now with being such a changed man,
I listen to God and follow His plan.
