Mr. rain comes down on me
Drop by drop hits me hard and strong and says run for shelter
But still I stand and say thank mother nature for the cold shower
Mr. sun comes down on me hits me hard and strong
With his fireball and says run for shadows
But still I stand and say thank Mother Nature for warming me up
Mr. storm hits me hard and strong with lightning
And says run for safety but still I stand
And say thank Mother Nature for the quick massage
I am strong immovable inseparable uncracable unbreakable
Bang bang hammer hammers me
But keeps bouncing up and down
Till the hands feel the pain
Kick me and suffer the consequences
Sit on me and feel torture
Torture me you’ll torture yourself
Cause still I stand
I’m the perfect sit for tourists who come to African beauty
I give them a pleasant stay
I provide shelter to those little crawling insects
I protect them from the storm
Keep them warm when it’s cold
The rain comes they crawl back to me
I take each and every drop for them
The war comes soldiers come to
I take each and every bullet for them
But still I stand.
I stand watching the African sun dance for me in the morning
The birds embrace me with their music all day long
Afternoon comes I see the beautiful African sunset
At night the moon and the stars shine for me
That’s the beauty of Africa
I stand on African soil never to leave it
I am made of the African soil
Wars come and go but still I stand
Hurricanes come and go but still I stand
Years come and go but still I stand
Generations will come and go but still I stand
I stand as an African, still I stand
Still I stand as an African rock.
