The Gift and the GiverLuke 11:9-13 Request and it shall be given unto you, Search and you will find in your view; Knock and the opportunity shall unfold, For all who do ask will receive as told; You shall get whatever you are seeking, In knocking, prepare for a reawakening; As a father and your son asks for bread, Would you give him a large rock instead? If he had asked you for a bass or a trout, Would giving him a snake make him pout? If he asked for breakfast of bacon and eggs, Do you think he'd be happy with frog legs? For your children about giving a good gift, Something that a child's spirit will uplift; How much will our Heaven Father to afford, Of the Holy Spirit of who asks in accord; A gift is a direct reflection of the giver, Whatever you do upstream affects downriver; Consider others affected as you conceive, If you desire blessing from God to receive.
