Forgiving Another

Colossians 3:13

Be kind and gentle, always ready to forgive,
Holding a grudge makes it real hard to live;
Remember that you were forgiven by God,
Rejoice in Him in praise, honor and laud;
More importantly to forgive others as well,
And that's actually about it in a nutshell;
Except for an understanding of forgiveness,
For it's a way to bestow your blessedness;
Show that you have compassion for them,
And that you are desiring not to condemn;
A powerful force helping another to heal,
Not just for them, but the grudge you feel;
Even forgiving yourself to remove sorrow,
So the bitterness will be gone by tomorrow;
Erasing your bitter memories can be rough,
The same for jealousy can make life tough;
As long as you are holding it deep inside,
Taking up the space for the Lord to reside;
Whatever you may have heavy on your heart,
Try some forgiveness so it will depart.
