I Do
Remember back then before life changed us
we used to be a perfect match
Remember how we used to laugh and talk
how saying nothing meant everything
because in some weird way we just didn't have to
your touch was medicine for whatever was wrong
and we was each other's sounding board
now that time seems so long ago
where did it go to?
now I look around the palace
I thought then was so grand
maybe it's not so rock solid
could it be made out of sand?
I hope not, I pray not
because that would break my heart
to know the magic can never appear
lost forever on some foreign map
distance is the only word I can describe
what has happened between you and I
we are both to blame, never does just one change the foundation
I want to try to make things better
I don't know where to start
you say you don't either
one question I ask do you still love me like you did then?
you don't miss a beat and simply say "I do"
well that is enough for me
that is how we will start...
