Tonight
I would scream all these words
if I felt for once you could hear them
I would be ecstatic if I could just wake up next to you
body clinging next to mine
that one night would last in infamy
a solid reminder of everything beautiful I held once
but it doesn't look like you will ever walk through that door
even though I stare at it, nothing ever changes
your calls are a reminder of what I don't have
what I long for, wish for, hope for
tonight seems particular lonely
with snow heavily blanketed the ground
looking outside it looks so peaceful, so romantic
like a fairy tale winter wonderland
too bad I am alone, it would be a good night to cuddle
I guess this big teddy bear will have to do
because tonight I can't have you.
