History
Raindrops on petals
migrating birds in winter
sprawling green all around
birds perch on the bamboo branch
tranquil water of the lake
Promises to be rewarding
miles and miles of plantations
the cool air felt brisker
tea gardens range of low mounds
rock cut images in the hills
Falling from the trees
the soft assonance of ripe fruits
desolate as this place
filigreed concrete tall glass doors
the palace looks resplendant
In the lake palace
louvered windows, marble steps
we stroll together
and make love all day all night
and go down in the history.
