When I am asleep, I am in my own world and when I am in my own world, not even terrorism can reach me.
It's like, I'm sitting here,
And then suddenly,
I'm not sitting here anymore.
Just floating about,
Meaninglessly in space.
My head doubles as a tennis ball
For the stars to bat around.
My eyes can only stare.
My head, dizzy,
My body, tired,
The day has just begun
And I am so ready to declare the day done.
I was sitting down there, somewhere,
But now I am magically placed
In another realm,
I'm ready for bed.
Ready for sleep. I welcome it,
Like sex, but I've never had sex
And I rarely have sleep so
Maybe it's not like sex at all.
It's more like peace.
When I am asleep,
I am in my own world,
And when I am in my own world,
Not even terrorism can reach me.
