My Beloved DeboraCopyright @ 2004 Brian D Roberts, Pen Name Is; Lark Douglas In Dedication To My Beloved Wife Debora, and My Children; Lisa, Andrew, and Pamela. Who I Lost To A Drunk Driver At Age 19. My Heart Does Weep In Solemn Faith; For Memories Past Of Love's True Born! Our Youth In Laughter Became Our Song; The Children Followed In Melody's Warm! Such Tenderness I Felt Just Then; As My Life Was Lived In Sweet Devotions Then! When Came The Time That Love Was Lost; My Very Essence Shouted In Angry Wrath! So Much Pain To Quell This Furnace; So Much Anguish To Their Defeated Spirits! I Lost A Part Of Myself That Horrid Day! It Can Never Return; Until In Heaven We're United Once More! I've Kept The Faith, Unsoiled More! I've Watched My Youth Fade With Each Passing Year! You Can Not Be Strong In Times Like This! All You Can Do Is Try Not To Save Your Song! There Is No Shame In Agonies Wept! So Deadly The Dagger Still Stuck In My Heart; That The Loss Of The Laughter Has Yet To Return! My Smile Gone! My Heart So Lost! A Gap So Wide With Depth So Far! My Friends Have Filled This Fissure With Love, and Care! They Have Bound The Wounds That Bled For Years. They Held Me Close, and Listened Well! They Gave Me Life Where None Could Be! A Memory Saved Of A Fearsome Tare; Has Faded, But Last For Yet Another Year! I Thank My Friends For Their Loving Care! For Without Them, I'd Have Never Learned To Share!
