I Knew You Loved Me

So many times since I've known you...
I was cold and I pushed you away
I was scared and didn't know what to do
I just couldn't get past my yesterday

You had demons of your own
But you still stood by my side
And you tried to offer me your world
As I walked away as you cried

Can you ever forgive a foolish girl?
Who couldn't get past her pride?
Who simply couldn't let you in?
So you wouldn't see the scars they left behind

I cry as well as I think of you
Knowing you gave me all of your heart
And I sit and regret every single day....
I have caused your heart to break apart

Time has changed my doubtful stance
In the past is where my fears should be
For with each and every touch of your hand....
