happens today
who is to say,
what happens today.
will we smile, will we cry,
will we live, will we die.
will the laughter be cool,
or will only tears rule.
will sadness be king,
or will happiness ring.
will the devil take all,
as our names he does call.
or will to God we give our souls,as his love in our hearts, we hold.
or will this day be,
the day we are glad to see.
the day we have talked about,
the day in which we can shout.
please, let the laughter ring,
as happy songs we begin to sing, for all the days like this,
are the ones that we will miss.
