saturday night
heading to singles group
she said you don't have to
go back but you do
have to go
and i felt like an
ad turned 3-D in
my lucky black boots
and my "i'm not really
a waitress" red nails
i'm not used to saying
look-at-me aloud
i went to the door
and ended up
in my van again
looking up at
the full moon and
decided it was too
pretty of a night
not to share,
even if it was
with strangers,
so i took a deep breath
and locked the van
walking in without
even having my
notebook to
shield me.
I took a chance,
my first wobbly step
without holding
anyone's hand...
and I didn't
