The Christian Priesthood

Revelation 1:5-6

To Him who loves us and freed us from sin,
By His blood, made us part of body within;
As part of His kingdom and priests to serve,
God our Father and His Word to preserve;
Being as Christians, we're also His priests,
Although some of us may also be artistes;
No matter if we write a poem or sing a song,
Worshipping and praising God is not wrong;
We demonstrate obedience and discipline,
That helps to block arrogance and sin;
For by obeying in complete compliance,
We will be building our Heavenly alliance,
For we will be His treasured possession,
And deliver us from our transgression;
God has told us already what to expect,
And just how our lives are to be direct;
So as being priests we are to proclaim,
To everyone we know and see the same;
Showing others how to live just right,
That Jesus is the way, truth and the light.
