Footprints
Wherever I leave to
you can always find me
just look down, my footprints will lead you
just walk my path, it might be a little hard
but promise me you won't stop
if I send you a card while you are on your way
don't mark it return to sender
I just want to check in periodically
I just can't be there right now
it doesn't mean I am not thinking of you
I know I have flaws but none greater
than feeling disconnected when I have you within reach
I am scared I have ventured off too far
I am totally alone now
could you please send me a message in a bottle?
just so I know you still exist
I will try my best to find my way back to you I promise
but in case I fall by the wayside
just look for my footprints....
