No closer.

I have searched near and far.
I have questioned all I did not understand.
I have pondered all thoughts of meaning...
But i am no closer.
I have spoken to the wise...
To the foolish.
I have laughed with angels...
and sinners.
But i am still no closer.
I have cried a thousand oceans...
but only a river of joy.
I have felt a thousand heart-beats...
but only a few so pure.
And still I search... no closer.
