Circle Yes or No
I wonder do you remember the little notes,
And what upon them did I wrote,
I was little and desire to know,
Mom, Do you love me circle yes or no?
Waiting with excitement to see you reply,
Having fear at time not knowing why,
Not wanting to let you go,
Mom, Do you love me circle yes or no?
Although now I am grown,
Having children of my very own,
A child always wants to know,
Mom, Do you love me circle yes or no?
I went through all their old things today,
Reading little notes to see what they say,
Some memories made me cry,
And some I just had to sigh.
I looked at pictures, drawing, and other things,
Little hand prints, poems, and everything,
Not once did they ever ask to know,
Mom, Do you love me circle yes or no?
