I made sure you went to school with a sack lunch
So you wouldn't be hungry.
I bought you things you wanted,
Things you needed to be happy.
I took delicate care of you when you
Were throwing up violently in the toilet.
And when you had hallucinations,
I was there to hush them away.
Whenever you were sick,
I'd risk my wellbeing to help you feel comfortable.
I was always there besides you when
You wanted to stay up all night playing video games.
I was there with you when you
Needed someone to laugh with.
I was even there
When you needed someone to laugh at.
I held you when you allowed me to,
And slewed your evil demons.
It was I who was present whenever you
Needed someone to talk to.
And wasn't I the one
Who taught you about sex?
I always made sure you had money for the things
You wanted.
I always made sure that we were close.
I always wanted to be your best friend.
But you so quickly replaced me
The moment you realized I was a burden.
