I'll never strike you mom,
I'd never hit you.
My love for you is deep and warm,
My beliefs include not hitting,
Only loving and your wish
For you to understand my weakened heart.
Don't blame your follies on me,
See the error of your way
And let me know that it's okay.
I have your heart in my eyes mom,
And I'd never try to hurt you intentionally.
As for unintentional hurt,
Sh!t happens that even I cannot control.

*When my sister use to live with us, she used to hit my mom when they got into bad fights. I was thinking about this when I wrote this poem.
