Another Phenomenal Day

A Watchful God

At the beginning with every breaking day,
I go to our Heavenly Father and I pray;
Thanking Him for all that He has done,
Explaining that He is second to none;
I ask for His forgiveness in advance,
A hectic day always puts me in a trance;
That causes me to become tracked so,
No matter what I do or where I go;
I ask Him to remain here by my side,
So He can continue to watch and guide;
This day I know as the curtain goes up,
The drama will unfold, start to develop;
He knows how I get so wrapped up in,
That causes such a temptation from sin;
With God sending an angel watching me,
I know I can relax a little more easily;
The reality is within me shines God's love,
With a radiance of blessings from above;
For as I am living under God's control,
Inspiring another day that is phenomenal.
