The Lesser Of Two Evil's!

You tell yourself it's really ok,
And not to worry so…
Try and settle your mind,
But deep down we all know…

We all know that there is evil lurking,
In one way or another, it's true,
But no matter what, no matter the outcome,
We do what we have to do!

For if we focus on the worst case scenario,
Then anything less is fantastic news,
And in your mind, you can finally relax,
And shake of those saddened blues!

What may once have been devastating news!
Somehow doesn't seem so bad at all,
The bigger the problem they think it is,
The lesser one is nothing, no nothing at all!

For the lesser of two evils is better!
No matter how bad it seems to be,
It's much more acceptable than the other,
Because ‘that' would be devastating to me!

So once again, no matter how bad it seems,
God has spared me once again,
It's just as well He made me tough!
Otherwise I'd certainly drive Him insane!

But He knows best, I know that,
And so I accept my lot in life,
But I did ask of Him the other week,
To spare me another plight!

But it seems to me He thinks I cope,
For He certainly puts me to the test,
But hey, it's no problem really,
Because I always come off best!

No matter the trials of my life,
And no matter the heartache and pain,
I am always eternally grateful to Him,
Because I woke up today once again!

Fight The Good Fight!
