Shadows on the beach

dressed in black i am a living and breathing shadow
The ocean spray refreshes the tears that other emotions can't reach
The green sea mirrors the colours of my eyes
I pick up the pebbles from the beach
And throw the burden of dreams into the ocean
And watch like all my dreams do, vanish into the unknown
The Grey clouds of September remind i was born on this month
But clouds are always Grey at the end of the world
The whiteness of death is splashed across the sky above
But my heart still beats true
Pumps the soldiers of faith around my body
Making me live, making me think
the wind blows around me like whispers of hope
I stand on England's beaches, like Neptune himself
Thinking i am a god over my own destiny
The ocean spray wakes me from dreams
And i head back into society

Shadows on the beach
